Sussex Business Awards Finalist

Wow. What a way to end 2021.

Our Tiger streak was thrilled to be a finalist at the Sussex Business Awards for the Creative Industries category.

The annual event, now in its 32nd year, was hosted by award-winning comedian Zoe Lyons at The Grand Brighton on Thursday 2nd December. It was a privilege to be amongst so many esteemed businesses. Five hundred of the county’s leading business people were in attendance for the black-tie ceremony – fingers (and claws) crossed in anticipation of the fourteen award categories announcements.

Considering the mix of talented creative agencies in our category, we’re proud to have been nominated as finalists. We also received great feedback from one of our category judges, Finley Hurren, Project Coordinator at the University of Sussex Business School:

“Tiger Marketing’s application showed bravery, resilience, and honesty, particularly with regards to facing the impacts of lockdown. The strong relationship Tiger Marketing holds with its clients was also highly praised. The judges were refreshed by the emphasis on company staff, how valued they are and the generation of team spirit, sense of belonging and care and attention to training and development.”

The Creative Industries Award, sponsored by the University of Sussex Business School, recognises outstanding businesses that operate in the creative and digital sectors. The University looked for companies that were honest and authentic. Focusing on the pandemic and the disruption it caused their organisation, they also wanted to see businesses that articulated individuality and maintained focus inside and outside the office.

Finley explains:

“This category was defined by the diversity and level of quality of the applicants. We received some outstanding entries from companies varying in size, turnover and expertise, and choosing the winner out of the five finalists was certainly a challenge. Across the board, we saw businesses who’d risen to face the challenges brought on by the pandemic and some who’d even gone on to do better for it. In what is still uncertain times it was also heartening to see businesses pivoting to rally around the wellbeing of their staff and clients despite the harsh conditions.”

The whole evening was unforgettable. The sparkling drink’s reception was packed with glamorously adorned people. The delicious three-course menu. The singing chef enticed everyone to sing and dance. And the hilarious host, Zoe Lyons.

Louise Stevenson, our Managing Director and Owner of Tiger Marketing, was over the moon:

“My team are remarkable and help make our business what we are. We’re lucky enough to have many fabulous clients too so it helps make what we do simply ROARsome! And when you do what you love, I think it shows – and this award nomination is evidence of that! 2022… we’ll be back to win!”

Congratulations to all the winners! (We’ll be ROARing back for the next one!)
