Who & what are they?

The Burlington Hotel is a historic and elegant hotel located in Worthing, West Sussex. Renowned for its luxurious accommodations and beautiful seaside views, the hotel offers a range of services including event spaces and a high-end restaurant named the Sea Pearl. The Burlington Hotel prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a picturesque setting.


The Goal

Our primary objective was to elevate The Burlington Hotel’s profile and put it “on the map.” We aimed to increase bookings for the hotel’s event spaces, attract non-resident guests to the Sea Pearl restaurant, and raise general awareness of the hotel within the Worthing community. Additionally, we sought to establish a strong social media presence and enhance the website’s SEO ranking for popular keywords and search terms.

What we did

To achieve these goals, we undertook a series of strategic initiatives. For the website, we fixed broken links, resolved coding issues, and conducted a comprehensive technical site audit to identify areas for improvement. We enhanced SEO through structural changes and optimised meta data, developed new SEO content for every page, and incorporated new videos and images to boost the site’s visual appeal.

For the restaurant, we branded and launched the Sea Pearl with a new logo and marketed it as a standalone entity to attract local patrons.
To increase brand awareness, we crafted a distinct brand voice and created new content, managed social media channels with curated and engaging posts, produced new blogs and brochure content, and designed and dispatched monthly email newsletters.

Additionally, we conducted PR activities, promoted specific social events such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Eurovision, created bespoke marketing campaigns, and provided general ideas, advice, and support to the hotel’s marketing team.

The Results

  • The Prime Minister chose to stay at the hotel during his visit to Sussex
  • The Daily Telegraph featured the hotel in their Grand British Seaside Hotels article
  • Hosted an event for the relaunch of the hotel and the Sea Pearl
    • Including PR coverage, increased website visits and search engine rankings, raised engagement across all of our social media platforms
    • 75 attendees to our launch event out of 100 invited
  • 2024 Christmas bookings were practically sold-out in March 2024
  • We are in position 1 for these terms: funeral reception venue worthing, hotel worthing, luxury hotel worthing
  • We are now ranking highly for 124 relevant keywords
  • Since June 2022 (just after we started working together), traffic to the website has increased by 21% overall, engagement has increased by 26%, and compared with June 2022, June 2024 received 61% more traffic.
